---Lucifers Judgement---          by Terry Dailey  OH HELL I can see you hiding there within the Midnight shadows Charred Soul.  I can hear Your black Smouldering  Eyes still feeding on fires of yesterdays flame.  That gray chalky ash it falls to the floor from your halo.  So Are you my angel ?  Well What is my name???    To compare you to a midsummer's day would only eclipse the sanctity of the sun.   Are you my devil?  Can you be that         one???  Slithering creature that evokes retribution from a saviors serenity?  I have embellished that crown upon your skull litteraly rendering you my equal as you scream your profanities.... But did you feel of my heart?  Oh you claw at my soul..    So Many drink from your blood stained chalice they  lick at it with withered lips to taste the salted solutions with forked tongues, some swallow it whole.. .  ...

Turkey, by Eric Shelman

Turkey While in Turkey Consumed mouthwatering beef and pork gyros from street vendors and restaurants. Drank local fruity flavored spiced hot teas American domestic beers, and local wines. Smoked flavored tobacco in a hookah. Religious, and historical art, architecture, Mosques mesmerized me into a trance. As I walked aimlessly in a state of confusion my English language became a barrier the confusion of my wandering body. Couldn't sit with my shoe's soul exposed to everyone which meant that I am better than anyone else. Wearing religious symbols, other than a crescent moon with a star underneath it were frowned upon. Shaking everyone's right hands with my right hand, otherwise it was offensive. Had to stop and listen during Muslim prayers, occurring five to eight times a day. Kept my mouth shout about my personal thoughts of Islam, to myself especially being a disbeliever. Felt uncomfortable being an atheist  in a Theocratic government forced to adhere to their rules havi...

Helping Put My Friend To Rest, by Eric Shelman

Helping Put My Friend To Rest By Eric Shelman Went to his funeral where his two aunts and one uncle were there With my mom and dad and I was there too of course. I volunteered to read my poem I wrote for him and a song that he sang for me several times, which was Watch Over You, by Alterbridge, which asks who is going to watch over you when I'm gone? I volunteered to dig two holes in two different cemeteries per his requests My grandmother read out of his mother's Bible the verses about from ashes we came and to ashes we go I helped set up a table with his picture A picture of Jesus Christ and real flowers as well His ashes in mason jars.  The wind kept blowing them over had to hold them during our ceremony His aunt is my grandmother. His other remaining   aunt and uncle are my greats. His other aunt gave great comments about her memories of him throughout his life from being a chubby toddler to grown adult. My dad did the opening prayer and conscerating of the graves. My...

My review of Asylum of the Damned by F. D. Ravenskraft and Lea Winkelman

My review of Asylum of the Damned by F. D. Ravenskraft and Lea Winkelman Written by Eric Shelman Asylum of the Damned is a deeper and darker side of both of these phenomenal writers, expressing sacrilegious, blasphemous, irreligious, journey of their twisted horrific minds. It is a testament of what could be in an actually asylum of the Damned, flirting with an imaginative mixture of horror, afterlifes, immortality, changing up original Judeo-Christian mythologies. I absolutely loved this book. Great job writing this superb collaboration, F.D. Ravenskraft and Lea Winkleman. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves horror, and obscuring certain mythologies and changing them up.

My review of Where The Willawiki Flows by Stephen Howard

My Review of Where The Willawikki Flows by Stephen Howard Mind-boggling, whismically witty, creatively orchestrated, humorously facetious, comprehensive, and awe-inspiring, poems written in non-sequitur styles and a diverse array of many other forms with several different subjects, including his life. It reminds of Dr. Seuss, Edward Lear, Mother Goose, Father Goose, and Shel Silverstein's styles with his own twist and turns in them. If one wonders Where does The Willawikki flow and needs to buy and read it to find out. I highly recommend everyone buy and read it! Written by Eric Shelman.

Lucky To Be Alive by Eric Shelman

Lucky to Be Alive By Eric Shelman On June 30 2020 I was working with my dad doing landscaping at that time we had an extremely long day and night of work having to chop down trees chipping up the branches hauling back what we couldn't fit in the chipper. On our last trip back to his office we were going seventy-five miles per hour which was the speed limit at ten pm . Out of nowhere this white car shows up to our right side with a stop sign it went right through the stop sign without even stopping it hit us going fifty-five miles per hour knocking me out into a concussion. My dad was still awake the whole time  the white car went head on into us actually burnt up his truck. We were rolling for quite a while then I came back to reality and landed on my arm once I finished rolling my seatbelt broke from spinning so much my dad's seatbelt stayed intact. He yelled that his truck was on fire and he was driving it so I stomped it out with my shoes which took a long while. Then I had ...

Helping A Friend Move On By Eric Shelman

Helping A Friend Move On By Eric Shelman First time I ever done this for anyone Took a massive pay cut in order to help him transit was paid a short amount of money for doing so Never about the money It was about my love for him wanting to help him cross over  as peacefully and comfortablely as he could. I wanted him to know that I took care of him the last 42 days of his life. I would one day hope that someone Might do that for me whenever I get in his position near my departure of this world. From 4 pm to 10 am I was there caring for him in between his Visiting Angels and Hospice visits. We watched lots of horror movies All sorts of television shows Listened to his favorite music. Crying, screaming and wailing whenever he  watched the news he was too much of an empath wanting to solve all our world problems I told him if the news effected him That badly to just turn it off  he said no because he needed to know what was happening in the world. He told me that he wa...

Illinois by Eric Shelman

Illinois Left my home state which is Texas on a plane to Illinois for my Basic and Deck Seaman Training at Great Lakes which was eight weeks long. frequented their Gurney Mills mall for my liberty during my Deck Seaman Training.   I loved this resturant there that served a huge German saugage with fries and a pint of beer, sodas, and water. Met and hungout with my best friend from eighth grade there who was still in his Torpedoes-mate school there. Went to Subway, McDonald's, Wok King,  at their recreational center on base and next to our NEX store. Had eighty-one recruits in my division in boot camp there. Slept in berthings which were bunk beds  had to iron and fold our uniforms certain ways in order to fit them all underneath our bunks.   Learned our Navy's history and was tested on it. Drank ten canteens a day in order to stay hydrated and awake because it made me have to urinate all of the time. Did intense physical exercises every day had to stay in shape and a...

My review of Inklings of a Restless Mind Book of Dreams, by Jesse Batista.

My review of Inklings of a Restless Mind Book of Dreams, by Jesse Batista. Inklings of a Restless Mind, Book of Dreams, is a montage of creativity both dark and light and a few gray areas in between. Terrifically, hauntingly, and horrifically beautifully demented. Has a thin line crossing  of realistic and fantastic realities and actuallties. Truthfully related to my own pyschological and existential angst as well as mention in his book. Ravenously and rawly expressioning himself in every phenomenal thought-provoking, and mesmerizing artistic photograph, prose, and poem inside it. Jesse Batista's talent is by far his own authenticity and uniqueness not mimicking or imitating anyone else. Revieved my Eric Shelman.

Florida, by Eric Shelman

Florida While in Florida On my first ship we went straight there as planned On my second ship our captain was told twice to pull in from their capes however our captain discarded that order our admiral said that there were high waves and stormy weather up ahead  finally our captain was corrected and we pulled in. Went to Fort Lauderdale for Fleet Week twice on my first and second ships their city celebrated our services which were mainly Sailors and Marines by throwing mandatory massive parades giving us four days of three free meal vouchers and alcoholic beverages showing their appreciation for all military servicemen and service women. we all wore our uniforms and showed our military IDs in order to prove that we were actually Sailors, or Marines. Used my meal and alocholic beverages vouchers on those three days, I did. stood twenty-four duty one day again. Drank and danced at bars and clubs. Wandered around and swam at their crystal clear beach. Actually I left here early ...

Maryland by Eric Shelman

Maryland While in Maryland went to Body Worlds musuem there thoroughly enjoyed it got to see all parts of our bodies in separate and together in different positions  Almost donated my dead body to them but they had a whole lot of paperwork to be filled out put first  we were in a hurry because we were leaving soon that day and had to get back quickly Chased a flock of pidgeons trying to have them fly up in the air together but only a few flew here and there Sucked that they didn't fly like I wanted them too Drank American beers and liquors, I did. Gambled Gambled twenty dollars and won one hundred dollars playing Blackjack, at their finest casinos, I did.  Danced at bars and clubs, I did. I wore a long sleeve shirt and a jacket over it, because it was cold there. As daybreak began heaving to the lines that bound us to the Earth we sailed off to a new adventure.
